Hello,

This is still in progress and appears to be affected by the calendar widget settings.

Adding the regular Calendar shortcode to a WordPress page will ignore the widget settings and it should work as expected.

Hi Chris,

Can you check something real quick? If so, it’s in the WP widgets manager. There you’ll find the Event Espresso Calendar Widget. If it’s active, you can set “Display Expired Events?” to Yes, then save.

If it’s not active, can you try temporarily activating the widget, setting the Display Expired Events? setting to Yes, then saving? After saving the settings you can disable the widget. Once that widget setting is set it should also set the instance of the calendar on your home page.

Sorry for not responding sooner. I apparently forgot to check the email notification box at the bottom.

I did what you asked josh and it did not resolve the issue. I’m hoping to update to ee 4 soon. Is this a problem there?

Hi Chris,

With both ee3 and ee4 you will likely find more success with adding a widgetized area within the page template, then drag the calendar widget to the template, configure its settings, and save.

This way you can avoid all the potential issues with trying to parse shortcodes outside of the_content().
