Excel export problem

Hi!

Checked the Excel export feature and the registered users with custom characters in their names like “á”, “é”, “í”, “ó”, “ú” are not written right.

For example, surnames like:

“Córdoba Álvarez” are written like: “Córdoba Álvarez”

Any idea to fix this?

This is an issue specifically with the .xls format — it doesn’t handle non-Latin characters very well (xls does not support UTF-8). In the next version (EE 3.2) we will be switching to .csv exclusively, which handles UTF-8 much better. In the meantime, it might be worth trying to open your export in OpenOffice if you are trying to do it in Excel.
