Hi, we are experiencing problems where transactions made through Eway via Mijireh are not being returned as complete in EE. When you click on an incomplete transaction in EE it is then set as Complete as I’m guessing it checks Mijireh.

We have had problems when an event has been filled but a user who paid and the transaction is found in Mijireh has then made the event overbooked.

This is happening more than weekly and even daily.

What can be done? I appreciate the time for Eway may exceed the time for the user to be sent back to the website but it’s not good enough.

Previous support posts have mentioned about a cron job that can be run. This could be the breaker for this site as it’s causing quite a lot of problems with management.

Cheers,
Rachel

Hi Rachel,

May I ask are you using the current version of Event Espresso 4?

Hi Josh,

I updated to version 4.9.39.p yesterday. The last time I updated was on the 20th of April to version 4.9.36.p and the time before that was on the 5th April adn then the 3rd of April as we have been having this issue for quite a number of months. I saw that some of the changelog fixes may have been in relation to this, but it doesn’t seem to have given us a resolution.

I see there is a 4.9.40.p but can’t find any information on what was different in this release.

Cheers,
Rachel

Hi Rachel,

If you need automated transaction updating, then Mijireh is not the solution. This is because it takes more time to get the payment response back from eway and then from Mijireh as the intermediary.

We are not planning on doing any further work on the Mijireh gateway because the company behind Mijireh is no longer taking new account signups for Mijireh and has replaced the Mijireh service with something else.

The other gateways like Stripe and Braintree solve this because they are fully automated and do not require any action from the administrator to update the transaction after payment is made.

Update: An eWAY gateway for Event Espresso 4 is now available as a free plugin. You can download it here:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/eway-payment-gateway/

This is a direct integration with eWAY so the Mijireh gateway would no longer be needed.
