Hi, we’re not using the event registration, because of this lots of our events aren’t displaying in the events list! How do we ensure all events and reccuring events display without having to input two sets of dates?

Thanks,

Zoe

Hi Zoe,

I may not be understanding your question, but I think what you’re looking for is the ongoing event feature. There’s a status selector in the event editor that you can use to switch the event status to “Ongoing”, which will allow the event to display regardless of a registration date.

Hi Josh, I think that is what I need, the event will still automatically disappear from the list once the date has passed though right?

It will actually continue to display. In this case, you’ll need to set the registration end date to the same date that the event ends on.

What about manually entered recurring events? Will they all disappear on the end regitration date for the main event??

By default, events will display until they reach their registration end date unless you have told them otherwise (by using a shortcode that sets show_expired to true). If this is what you are looking for, then you should add a registration start (I usually set this to the day I am creating the event) and a registration end date.
