Hello,
We have events here with a ‘free contribution’. This means the visitor only decides after the event how much he wants to give in terms of money.
What would be the best way to implement this in EE3? 0 euro is not an option, because it is not a free event.
Any helpful thoughts about this?

Hi,
There really isn’t a way to do that in Event Espresso.
The best option I could offer, would be to mark it as a free event for registration purposes but then use CSS to hide the costings as best as possible.
Then use an alternative service such as as PayPal to accept a donation/pay what you want amount, something like what’s going on here -https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/About-Business-Archive/subscribe-button-pay-what-you-like-option/td-p/638518
