When I attempt to upload events.csv I receive the following error. I have checked permissions and am using the correct format. I submitted a priority token 4 days ago on this issue, but have not heard back. Perhaps I submitted incorrectly. This has now become mission critical. I really appreciate your help asap. Thanks! |
Hi there, I checked and we haven’t received a priority token form submission from you. With the error you’re seeing, is that a Windows server? If so, can you use a Linux server instead? While it’s possible to work around the Windows bug that causes the issue you’re seeing, it involves quick a bit of hacking that’s avoidable by switching to a linux based server. |

Hi, I was able to find that support token and we replied the same day to your outlook email. The email that you sent your new request in is under a different email. I’ll merge those conversations and then reply again. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks — |

Lorenzo and Josh, I am not in a position to change servers at this time. Please send instructions for this specific issue or recommend that I purchase additional tokens to have the issue resolved today. I can give you access to the server if needed. |
Hi, have you reached out to the web host regarding the permissions issue? We do not develop on Windows servers so that is not a platform that we are familiar with nor do we provide server admin services at this time. — |

WE are running WAMP. Has anyone on your team connected and taken a look? Would it be possible for someone email me the service history for our account, from what I understand your team was hired to install and customize. I was asked to step in and help recently, I am not familiar with our history. Also, Please send an outline of what the file permissions need to be for each folder to work properly. |
Hi, this isn’t something that we can properly troubleshoot from our end as we do not use Windows-based servers. Please reply to your support token email and a member of our team will follow up with the requested information. — |

Hello again, I’ve checked the support token and we haven’t received any replies to our earlier messages. I’m going to send another message to both of the email addresses that we have for you. Please reply to that message so we can send over the information that you are asking about. Thanks — |

I received your email and replied. Perhaps you missed the msg below?

Hi Joan, Here’s a few links that show the service history of your account: https://eventespresso.com/topic/throwing-an-exception-in-shopping-cart/ You’ll note that at one point there was a customization request, but since we generally do not take on customization work, we recommended contacting a developer to make the customizations. Here’s the outline of what the file permissions need to be: http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions To be clear, when there’s a permission denied issue, it’s not something we can fix from our end, especially without access to the server since you’ve disabled FTP. The recommended solution stands, we recommend running all versions of EE on a linux server. If you decide to not take our recommendation and try to get the Windows server to work, you can contact your hosting support and ask them to check verify this checklist for wp-content/uploads. |

Thank you for the link to the file permissions. Did you have a problem logging into FTP? I just want to be clear, I did not disable FTP, I sent the credentials and the account is functioning. |
Yes that’s correct, we cannot FTP in. Even if we could log in, we’d be fairly limited to what we could do since we are not server admins. A server administrator that knows his or her way around a Windows Apache system should be able to follow this guide and ensure the server is set up correctly. |
