Hi It’s basically the same problem as occurred here: If you visit this event: It is showing as upcoming. Yet in the event settings… there are 3 tickets sold. There is a limit of 3 tickets on each of the datetimes, and there is a limit of 3 tickets available as well. Everything seems as normal, but it’s not automatically changing to Sold Out as thousands of other events have done. Thanks |

Hmm, strange. Both of those should indeed be setting themselves to sold out. Did you ‘re-open’ either of those events at all? As in the event sold out and then had a cancelled registration that was then removed from the event etc. |

But on the front-end, they are showing sold out. It’s just on the back-end Events Overview page that they’re showing as Upcoming. |

May I ask, in which location in admin are they showing upcoming? Can you add a screenshot showing that, please? |

Hmm, unfortunately, I can’t reproduce this. I’ve duplicated your event set up and each time I register onto the event it correctly switches to sold out. Did you manually add this user to the event or was it a ‘normal’ registration (front end)? Which payment method was used on the transaction? If you view the registration for that event, then look at its EE Transaction. Under the ‘Transaction Items’ there’s a ‘View additional transaction session details’ link, click on that, what does it show? |

It still seems to be happening. https://www.dee4dogs.co.uk/courses/tuesday-puppy-school-online-2/ The ticket sales have ended (the event did not sell out), and yet it still shows as Upcoming. Yet it’s not displayed in the widget in the side bar (this is correct). I’m very confused. |

The ‘Upcoming’ status isn’t based on ticket sales, its based on the datetimes. As the event above has datetimes in the future, those datetimes are ‘upcoming’ meaning so is the event. The event will be ‘activate’ when today’s date is between a datetimes Event Start and Event End dates/times, after that if there are no more upcoming datetimes the event is expired but if there are more upcoming datetimes the event is expected to remain as ‘upcoming’. |
