Events requiring registration cannot login.

Hi.

I am creating a bunch of events that require user registration to join the event.

But when a user tries to order tickets from there, and proceeds to login (he/she already has a wordpress account), there is an error message “The registration step could not be completed, please try again”.

Upon clicking next again, it complains of compulsory fields not being filled.
On refreshing the page, it shows that the user has actually logged in!

May I know what is happening here?

Hi,

Are you using S2 member to manager users?

If so the problem is due to S2 hooking into the login redirect and breaking the registration, we have a small snippet to fix that here:

I would recommend adding that to a Site Specific Plugin.

Hi Tony Warwick,

The solution that was suggested works beautifully!

We use child theme, so that there is not much need for a site specific plugin, although we shall consider that indeed.
