These errors appear in all current events:

Warning: Missing argument 2 for event_espresso_price_dropdown(), called in /home/nwnetwork/nwnetwork.org/wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates/registration_page_display.php on line 144 and defined in /home/nwnetwork/nwnetwork.org/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/includes/functions/pricing.php on line 369

Warning: extract() expects parameter 1 to be array, null given in /home/nwnetwork/nwnetwork.org/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/includes/functions/pricing.php on line 37

When attempting to register for an event, this error occurs after ‘submit’:

Sorry, there was a security error and your registration was not saved.

WP version: 3.8
EE version: 3.1.36.1.P – recent upgrade
http://nwnetwork.org/event-registration/

We also lost our historical event data in the update- is there a way to recover it? An outside person completed this for us, but didn’t realize the importance of this data. Assistance greatly appreciated!

Hi Amy,

The errors you are seeing indicate that there are out of date template files (from a prior version of Event Espresso) in the /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates/ directory.

If you have modified templates in there, they need to be updated to use the new template files included with the current version of the plugin.

If you haven’t made any modifications to the files in the /uploads/espresso/templates they can be removed. If you are not sure if there were modifications made to these files, you can back these up or rename that folder just in case.

You can automatically rename the /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates folder by going to Event Espresso>Template Settings and clicking the “Rename templates directory” button near the bottom of the page.

The historical event data is likely still there, you’ll need to change the display filter status in the Event Overview so it displays ALL, or Inactive events. The newer versions of Event Espresso will display only active events by default. This was a change made that was due to a popular feature request.
