Hello – None of the events I’ve added are showing as a list, though the calendar is displaying events. Some pages not working: http://www.brookfieldlibrary.org/brkwpress/events/adult-events/ Thanks in advance for the help! Jennifer |
Which shortcode is being used on those pages? It should help to turn on wp-debug in the wp-config.php file to help narrow down the error. It might also help to try un-nesting those pages out from under the page with the slug of /events/ |

I’m using [EVENT_LIST category_identifier=adult-events], but have tried just [EVENT_LIST] and [EVENT_ESPRESSO_CATEGORY event_category_id=”adult-events”] with no success. Prior to yesterday, it was working fine. I’ve turned on wp-debug. Also, un-nesting does not help. |
Looks like the list is working here: http://www.brookfieldlibrary.org/brkwpress/adult-events/ |

Yes, that is a list of posts, though. I want the option of creating a list of events without having to create a post for each. |
Where is this page now that it’s unnested? Also, was there anything changed on this site before it stopped working? |

Nothing has been changed on the site other than when working with EE. Un-nested page: http://www.brookfieldlibrary.org/brkwpress/un-nested/ |
Is wp-debug on right now? I’m surprised that there are no errors. Have either of these two templates been modified: event_list_display.php and event_list.php? If so, I’d recommend uploading a fresh copy of these to /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates. |

I thought I had uploaded fresh copies of those files, but doing so again just now fixed it! Thanks so much. Speaking of these templates, can you tell me the code and where I can place it in the template to display event start time? This is a crucial component of our event lists. |
You can use the [EVENT_TIME] shortcode if you wanted to display it somewhere other than where it is displayed already. You should already display the event start times in the event list unless you’ve made changes to the templates. |

I haven’t changed the templates, and I just uploaded clean copies to be sure. Here’s a sample page: http://www.brookfieldlibrary.org/brkwpress/events/all-events/ Thanks! |
Okay, it’s not displaying on your events because the time is part of the registration form which you’re hiding. There’s template code here for running the [EVENT_TIME] shortcode in a

Awesome, that did the trick! One more time question – how do I make the event time show on the event description/registration pages? Example: http://www.brookfieldlibrary.org/brkwpress/event-registration/?ee=42 Thanks! |
Add it to the description. If the registration form is displayed, then the time will display just above the registration form. Alternatively, you could use the same shortcode mentioned above in the template, and have the time display right below the date. Note that if you have events where there is a reg. form, the time will display twice, unless you add a switch or a conditional. |
