On 03/08/15 I updated my events espresso to the most current. after doing this It is discovered that at least 5 events no longer exist in the application (front or back end) The reason I say at least 5 is because I have a list of people who purchased tickets for these events that are now listed as having purchased a ticket for “no associated event”. there may be more that were created but did not have attendees. Is there a way besides restoring my whole site to retrieve this lost info, or just restoring a portion of the info? why would this have happened?

WordPress Version:
4.1.1
PHP Version:
5.4.28
MySQL Version:
5.5.40
Event Espresso Version:
4.6.14.p

Hi Dana,

So you have a backup from before the update?

Do you know which version number you upgraded from? You can find this within Event Espresso -> Maintenance -> System Information.

Under ‘ee_activation_history’ you’ll find a list of the version you have activated.

Have you made any customisations to Event Espresso?

Would it be possible for you to send me a copy of the database so I can install it locally, run migrations and see if I can see any reason for this?

Tony,
We upgraded from 4.6.12p. Since I didn’t develop our site, I only maintain it, I’m unsure of customizations. Please provide file path the database you are requesting should be so I can send you the database as I’m not as I’m not sure which directory

Hmm, that’s strange, there are no migrations from 4.6.12 to .14 within EE core.

Please provide file path the database you are requesting should be so I can send you the database as I’m not as I’m not sure which directory

The database wouldn’t be stored within a directory (unless a plugin is doing this) I assumed you already had a backup as you mentioned restoring the site.

However rather than sending a database backup would it be possible for me to take a look at the Event Espresso admin area? I’d like to investigate this a some more.

If so can you send temporary login details using this form:

Hi Dana,

I’ve been looking into this but I can’t see any reason for those events to have disappeared, I have created a ticket for some developer feedback and will update shortly.

I did notice the site is running on 40MB of memory which is rather low, this can be fixed by adding something like this:

define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '96M' );

To you wp-config.php file above the comment:

/* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */
