Events marked incomplete after upgrading to EE3 3.1.37.6.P, even though paid

Yesterday I upgraded to EE3 3.1.37.6.P

Since then, payment is marked “incomplete” even though payment goes through paypal.

Wordpress version 4.3.1
I copied to a development site, disabled all other plugins, and went to twenty fourteen theme. Same problem.

At the bottom on the left side is a TEST class for $.02

Hi Annie, your payments should still be updating. Could you double-check the language encoding settings for your site?

It was Windows-1252. We changed it to UTF-8, but that did not fix the problem.

Hi Annie,

If you go to /wp-content/uploads/espresso/logs/

Within there you should find a paypal.ipn_results.log file.

Download that and take a look at the latest transactions, are there any errors shown within the IPN validation?

The latest entry in the error log is 10/14.

So no, I don’t see recent errors in the log.

Hi Annie,

Another member wrote in right about the same time that you did and we asked them to check their IPN and they mentioned that it was turned off — however, they did not make this change from their end.

I checked my own PayPal account and did not see any changes. Could you double-check that the IPN is on and set to your transactions page?

That was it – IPN was not enabled in the paypal account. Not sure how that happened, but I’m certainly glad it’s working now.

Its really strange that the IPNs have been disabled on the account, had you received any emails from PayPal stating the IPN’s were not working on your site prior to this?

I’m glad its work, but I’m curious as to why the IPNs had been disabled.
