I just upgraded to WP 5.0.32. When I go to the Events List screen, then Choose “Upcoming” (from default Active/Inactive). Then I want to sort the “Event Start” (from most recent date to further out date. the event “Upcoming” status changes back to “Show Active/Inactive”. I does not retain the “Upcoming” setting filter.
Basically, sorting a Filtered list resets itself back and removes the Filters. Playing around all filters and sorting fields seems to be causing other issues. You may want to have a look Events list with filtering and sorting fieilds. It is not behaving correctly.

Hi there,
Please take a look at my video. I tried to replicate the filters resetting but was unable to. I filtered for only Upcoming events, then sorted by start date/time. The filtering worked and did not reset.

Let me know if you followed a different process than what I demonstrated in my video. If my video accurately reflects your steps, it’s possible that your web host has caching enabled, which might be returning outdated data. This could make it appear as though the filters are resetting when, in reality, the server is simply sending back stale information.
Let me know what you think and we can advise further.

Hi Garth, I followed your method and the filtered sort worked. Something did change from the past. I think used to hit the APPLY button to invoke the filter effect, not the FILTER button. The APPLY button I believe used to invoke the filter as well.I seem to remember this. But nonetheless I will use the FILTER button moving forward.
