Any way to help speed up the load time of our sites events listings as it’s moving really slow? I did set to not show the dates and times on the event listings and it seemed to help speed it up a few seconds but is there more that can be done?

Thanks,

Can you check with your host to see if that page can be cached, while making sure the single event pages don’t get cached?

My host is Flywheel and they provide one option on their administration page of the WP install that says “Flush Cache”. This leads me to think they must be doing some sort of caching on their end. However, if so, it doesn’t seem to be making it run fast.

Do you think it would be wise to add a caching plugin? I did read this article but this says to exclude caching for EE pages. Would I exclude all EE pages except the “events” page?

If this is recommended please let me know what caching plugin that would work best with EE.

Thanks.

Flywheel actually instructs not to use caching plugins on sites hosted on their infrastructure:

Can you contact Flywheel support about this? There may be a reason they’re not serving /events/ from the cache.
