Geneva Photo Club is going very well, and we are now launching Lausanne Photo Club. While I still need to decide how to best integrate these two (probably change of domain name to swiss photo club), I wanted to ask your advice on how to manage the EE4.
Basically the visitors should be able to see which city each training will take place, and maybe even able to filter the city at the events table. Some might want to see all events, but most will want to see only the trainings in their city.
I was thinking of using the tags field, but I already use this for the languages (whether the training will be in french or in english).
So,
a) What is your advice on how to best handle this in EE4?
b) Are there any good examples of Event Espresso setup for multiple cities?
yes, I forgot to say that in the question, I actually use the categories for type of trainings (beginners, intermediate, portraiture, etc).
Any other suggestions?
The only thing I can think of is to duplicate the categories with city names in the beginning (e.g. Geneva-Beginners, Lausanne-Intermediate) which could be quite messy with new cities…
You could add a new custom taxonomy just for adding cities. You should be aware though, this will require teaming up with a PHP developer to build the code to display the front end lists and filtering features.
