Hi there,
Our issue started about one month ago.

When we go to edit and update an event/post that has already been published we are having a strange issue.

We can only edit the event or post content when the “TEXT” tab is selected. If we choose the “Visual Tab” on the content editor then all of the content disappears even if we change back to the “text” tab.

I have included a screenshot link to help point out the visual and text tabs.

Not sure what the conflict could be.

Hi there,

There will be a JavaScript error being thrown by another plugin on the editor.

If you open up Chrome Dev Tools (or similar) and look within the ‘console’ tabe do you see any errors there?

You can test if it’s a problem with either your theme or plugins by following the steps here:

The error on your screenshot is from the Jetpack plugin, and the recent update to the Jetpack plugin has a bug that actually breaks the editor. The Jetpack developers are aware of the bug and are working on a fix. In the meantime you can deactivate the contact form module within JetPack’s Debug > “Access the full list of Jetpack modules available on your site” page. They show how to get that page here:

I deactivated the Plugin TINY-MCE and it still isn’t working.

No need to deactivate the tiny-MCE plugin, that’s not the culprit.

Awesome. Your support fixed the problem. I deactivated contact module. We don’t even use it so Jetpack must have auto installed it during an update or something. Thanks for your help. This issue is resolved.
