Hi guys.

I saw this was answered in December 2014, but I installed the suggested plugin, and it would seem it is not compatible with my template.

Could anyone please help me with how to get Events to display as a “Page” and not a “Blog Post”. As my pages don’t have sidebars, but Blog Posts do.

Any advice would be extremely helpful!

Thanks so much!

Hi there James,

Are you referring to content on the page like the post by date and the author?

If so, that content can usually be removed with a couple lines of CSS:

Could you provide a link to a single event page so we can share some specific examples?

Hi Lorenzo,

thanks so much for coming back to me so quickly.
The Event displays as follows:
http://legacyleavers.co.za/events/follow-your-dreams-seminar/

I am actually just wanting the sidebar to be removed.
But when I select “full width page” in the template options of the event, it still displays the sidebar. I have tried all the options and all display the sidebar.

Not only is the sidebar very heavy on bandwidth, but the event tickets would display better if there was more space to play with.

I would like to display the same as my About Page, for instance:
http://legacyleavers.co.za/about-2/

Can I do the same using CSS?

Hi, could you login to your WordPress site using an SFTP or FTP client such as Cyberduck, FileZilla, or Transmit and then browse to this location?

/wp-content/themes/yourthemefolder

Yourthemefolder should be the name of your actual theme that is in use.

Do you see any files similar to these?

page-no-sidebar.php
page-full-width.php

We are looking for an existing theme page layout without a sidebar. Then we can duplicate it and set Event Espresso to use that one (step 5 in the link below):
