Hello, We are experiencing an issue in which all of our events and registrations suddenly disappeared. We are also getting this error: There were errors creating the Event Espresso database tables and Event Espresso has been deactivated. To view the errors, please enable WP_DEBUG in your wp-config.php file. I have updated EE4 but the problem persists. This is important because the error is appearing on both the front and back of the site so visitors can see this too. I contacted the host (Bluehost) to confirm that there are proper permissions and they said everything looks correct. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much! Our site is tstboces.org. |

Hello, We are experiencing an issue where all the events in our site have disappeared and if you try to create a new event we get the following errors:
Errors are also displayed on the front of the site which is alarming to visitors. You can view our site here: http://tstboces.org I talked to our host and they confirmed that the permissions have not changed so we are currently unsure what might be causing the database tables errors. Any help you could provide would be much appreciated! Thanks! |

Hi there, Do you have a backup of the database that you can restore to? |
|
I have a backup from the beginning of January. Do you think that a simple import is going to fix this? Why would the database have corrupted? We are also getting errors about the payment methods. Would deactivating and reactivating the plugin help resolve the error? |
|
Your host may be able to answer your question about why the database was corrupted, and they also may have a more recent database backup that can be restored to. If the data is gone or damaged then deactivating and reactivating the plugin will not help resolve the issue. You might also consider getting set up with a more robust database backup solution like VaultPress, which can be used to do daily backups that can be restored to with 1 click. |

hey @TSTBOCESAdultEd, if possible, seeing how Event Espresso is reporting something is wrong with your database, it would be helpful if we could get in there and inspect it. Can you provide us with temporary WordPress admin credentials? If so please fill in the details here: https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ |

Sorry for the delay in responding! We were scrambling to try and repair the corrupt database tables and ultimately had to granularly replace the specific tables from a backup file so that none of their other data was lost. Would be be helpful if I sent over a screenshot of the tables that had become corrupted? It looks like the problem is fixed now but I could send you a copy of the database before/after of that is helpful to your team. |
|
Yes TSTBOCESAdultEd it would helpful to see your database when you were having the database issues. |
