We have EE3 with the calendar add-on installed. A blank calendar displays, we can’t get the events to appear on the calendar. WP Version 4.0 Here is a link to the calendar: Here is a link to an event: Tried the default themes, as well as deactivating plugins, but same results. Thanks in advance for any help. |
Hi Ashley, There are some warnings appearing on your registration pages. Could you ensure that you are running the latest software for Event Espresso? This includes the core plugin and all add-ons: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/change-log/ Here is some information on how to manually update: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/updating-event-espresso/ — |

I double checked all the version numbers and they are all the latest versions according to your downloads area. What is the next step? Thanks. |
Hi, The warning seems to have disappeared. Do you have a start date and an end date set for all of your events? Could you go to an event using the event editor and save changes again? Also, could you copy and paste the exact shortcode that is in use on your calendar page? — |

We only have one event right now. You can view it here: http://thelovedchild.net/event-registration/?ee=1 The calendar page shortcode is simply: Thanks. |
Hi there, Could you please create a temporary WordPress admin login so we can take a closer look at this issue? Please share that temporary login through the secure link below: To prevent delays in troubleshooting, be sure to double check your information on the form before submitting. The submit button for the form appears at the end of the form. Again, please ensure that the temporary login works. Thank you. — |

We’ve posted the login info for you at the form URL you supplied. Let us know next steps, thanks. |
Hi Ashley, The calendar uses the Registration and Event Start dates to decied which events to display. As you event start date has passed the calendar is considering that event expired. To display this event you’ll need to edit the Calendar page and change the shortcode from: [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR] to [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR show_expired=true] That should then display the event one again. |

Thanks, this seems to have fixed the issue. Our event is now displaying. We have two other questions, though: 1. Our event meets every Monday for an hour for 6 weeks. It’s not a recurring event, all 6 meetings are included in the registration fee. Right now, the event shows as a continuous band across the entire 6 week period. How can we make it so the event only shows for the actual hour it meets on the actual day, so we’d see 6 appearances on the calendar. We want it to look like how it would appear in iCal. 2. What happens once the registration limit is reached? Does the event still display on the calendar but the Register Now button disappears? Or does the entire event disappear from the calendar? Or something else? Thank you. |
Hi, Try this: Go to the original event and then duplicate it through the event editor. Then set the registration URL to the original event and update the date of the event. Now repeat this process four more times. You’ll end up with the first event which is used for registration and the other events will point to that event. The attendee limit should be set on the first event. Once that limit is reached, event registration will become unavailable. It doesn’t disappear from your site but will display a message about being closed. — |

Two questions: 1. How do we set the registration URL of the duplicate events to the original event registration URL? Where is that located in the event editor? 2. When we duplicate events like this, they each show up individually in the events list when we use the [EVENT_LIST] shortcode. How do we get only the first event to display? Thanks. |
Hi, You can use the alternative registration URL: http://cl.ly/image/2N2g3c2a2I3a You’ll need a separate event for each to appear in the calendar. If you don’t want them to appear in the calendar, then the other option is to remove the additional events and add a schedule of the dates to the original event. — |

Is there any way to exclude an event from the [EVENT_LIST]? Or display a subset of events which excludes certain events? If not, then I suppose the other option would be to add each event manually rather than using [EVENT_LIST]? Let me know if there is any way to accommodate this, thanks. |
Hi, This is an option: [EVENT_LIST event_category_id=your_category_identifier] However, you would need to manually add each event to the category. — |

Yes, this seems to work fine, thank you. |
Hi Ashley, Just to confirm, is this thread resolved now? |
