Events Approver Role

I am looking to set up a more locked down Events Administrator role and have something similar to an Events Approver Role. This user should only be able to change the status of the registrant, for example from Not Approved to Approved. I am using the WordPress Members plugin to work on more granular permissions, however here is my specific issue:

Our group uses the Not Approved and Approved statuses, when a user registers they are automatically set to the Not Approved status. The Events Approver user role I have created only allows the following permissions: ee_edit_others_registrations which allows them to set the Approved status, however we have custom questions that are also displayed with the user, and I would like to have the approver not allowed to edit any of the question submissions. Is there a way to split those permissions so that we can have the approver only change approval status but not edit any other aspect of the event registrant’s registration?

Hopefully I have not thoroughly confused everyone now with this. If you need it explained a different way, please let me know.

Yes there is. You give them the ee_edit_registration capability, and you don’t give them the ee_read_registration.

What that will do is allow them to view the Registrations list table in the admin, and they’ll be able set the Approved status there. (They’ll check the boxes next to Not approved registrations, then set the Bulk Action to “Approve Registrations”, then click Apply).

When you remove the ee_read_registration cap, they will not be able to go in and edit a single registration record.
