I can’t figure out why anyone I assign the role of “Events Administrator” is unable to see the WP admin pages; they are immediately redirected to the main site. I am running WordPress 6.6.1, Event Espresso 5.0.26p, Event Espresso—WordPress Users Integration (EE4.6+) version 2.12p, and Members version 3.2.9. I am sure I have a setting wrong somewhere. Do you have any ideas? I have already had someone who was supposed to download registration lists delete the entire EE plugin since they have to be an admin to download the lists at the moment. |

Hi there,
Thats not the default behaviour for WordPress, the Event Administrator role is obviously from EE but redirecting away from the dashboard isn’t the default WP behaviour regardless of role. So out of the plugins you’ve listed, the most likely cause of this is Members version 3.2.9. Does members have an option to redirect subscribers/users away from the dashboard? Or hide the dashboard for non-admins? |

Thank you so much, Tony. It wasn’t the Members plugin but another one causing that behavior. When I deactivated it (Clean Login), my user with just the Events Administrator role could see the admin console with just the normal editor rights + EE rights, which is perfect. Now to figure out if I really need that other plugin. 🙂 |

You’re most welcome, I’m glad you found it 🙂 |
