Hi, I am a new user and have researched many options for class registration and accepting online scheduling. However today, I tried to install the EED 4.4.4 and it immediately broke my site. After deleting the files, the site was fine.
Do you have any known compatibility issues with BeTheme (I did not see it on the list you have published). I am running WordPress 4.1
Thank you! I was planning to try the free version and purchase the full version if it worked out for me.
I’m sorry for the trouble. Usually if there’s a fatal error on plugin activation it’s from another active plugin that has a conflicting script. Or it could be the server is running low on memory and when a more resource intensive plugin like Event Espresso is activated, the server completely runs out.
So there are a few things you can do to find out if either of the above is the case. The first thing is deactivate all WordPress plugins, then activate Event Espresso. If it lets you activate, then you start activating the other plugins one by one to see if the site breaks again.
You can also turn on WP_DEBUG mode, which is something you change in the wp-config.php file. We have some instructions that you can follow to turn on debug mode in our documentation:
