Hi, I’ve just changed my theme and I’m setting up event listings a bit differently to how I had them before. However, I’m coming up against a weird problem on my listings pages. I’m using the dropdown dates for recurring events, but some recurring events are displaying as two different events, each with multiple dates. When I go to “edit event” for any of the listings, it shows all the event dates as being part of that series. However the event list insists in splitting them up! Here’s an example: http://www.carmelblue.com/postnatal-signup/ There are three different listings for Mommy Baby Yoga, for example, each with a different list of dates, however they were all created as the same recurring event series. The shortcode I’m using on this page is [EVENT_LIST category_identifier=postnatal show_recurrence=true order_by=date(start_date) show_expired=false] Thanks in advance for your help! Sharone

Hi there, Can you try removing the order_by=date(start_date) parameter? That parameter is doing exactly what it’s supposed to be doing: Ordering the events by start date. So that will break up the events from their groups and display them in date order. |

Hi Josh, Thanks so much for your suggestion. It seems totally reasonable, however when I removed that parameter no change occurred. I would like to try to recreate those events from scratch, however some of them have people registered in them. Is there an easy way to transfer attendees from one event to another? Or do I need to manually re-enter them? Thanks |

Just an update – I think I’ve worked out what happened. When I edit a recurring event and add more dates, these new dates are split off in the event list, so it looks like two events with the same name and different dates in the drop down. This seems like a bug to me – is there any way around it? I would like for it to be that when I add new dates to a recurring event, the new dates are simply listed in the same dropdown menu as the other dates. Thanks |
Hi Sharone — I can’t reproduce this on my test site with the latest version of the plugin and recurring event templates. When I add more dates to an existing recurring event, the dates appear in the dropdown in the list with everything else. This is true even when there are other events that occur in between the recurring event. |
