Event_editor Role: create event, edit OWN event, modify attendees OWN event

I’m currently working on a client site. They have job board and existing custom WP roles which allow Job Posters to post jobs, but have to purchase credits to do so. They also want to allow the Job Posters to be able to post and manage events. But only allow Job Posters to be able to edit and see attendees for the events that are associated with the author. Is it possible to create such a scenario using Permissions PRO?

I’ve enabled Roles & Permissions (Basic), which seems to create two new simple perms, which I can then use Members plugin to assign to existing “Job Poster” role, but these perms are not adequate. Need to restrict author’s (aka Job Poster) events and attendees list to only the author that originally created them. Thoughts?

Also, according to this thread: https://eventespresso.com/topic/front-end-event-creation-andor-manager/

It implies that Permissions PRO has a front-end event entry form? Is this true?

Ok, I see this: https://eventespresso.com/topic/adding-events-from-the-front-end/
Any update on ETA for this type of functionality?

Hi Albert,

Yes Roles & Permissions PRO provides more granularity, users can be given access to only sections of Event Espresso and can be limited to what they see.

It implies that Permissions PRO has a front-end event entry form? Is
this true?

No R&P PRO does not have a front end manager, it will be a separate item.

Regarding the Front End Manager add on, we are still finalising it (last testing is ongoing), but it should be released shortly barring any unforeseen issues.

Thanks Dean,
Can you please be a little more explicit: “should be released shortly…” Does this mean 2 weeks, 2 months, 2 business Quarters, by end-of-year?

Thanks!

Hi Albert,

I was hoping that it would be released within a week or so as I am looking forward to this ones release myself.

But we have now had to shelve that idea due to an unrelated bug found in WordPress core that could compromise security when using this plugin.

As such we will be now looking for a way to secure it and/or submitting a bug report to WordPress to close the security hole.

So now I genuinely cant give you a timescale on this.
