I have an event where I will be selling admission tickets to 2 separate areas. One is just the picnic and social area, the other is a restricted area where an insurance waiver must be electronically signed when the ticket is purchased. Is this possible with Event Espresso? We do not require that both tickets be purchased so a user could just purchase the picnic ticket, or they could just purchase the special event ticket which requires the waiver.

Hi there,

Event Espresso does not allow you to set questions based on the ticket selection, they are based on the event the user registers onto.

You could create 2 events, one for the picnic area and another for the restricted area then use a standard page and have both ticket selectors for those events on that page, would that work? (Note if the user wanted both they would need to select 1 ticket, add it to the cart then select the other ticket on the other selector and add that to the cart)

Yes, this would work. In regard to this, can we have a required option stating “I have read and agree to this events requirements and restrictions” that MUST be selected PRIOR to moving onto the ticket purchase form? Similar to an EULA setup checkbox.

We don’t have the functionality to add a checkbox prior to the registration form so that would take some custom development.

What you can do is create a required question and add it to either the ‘Personal Information’ question group so it is required for all registrations, or create a custom question group that contains the required question and set that on at least the Primary Registrant.

The question would then show on the registration form (after selecting the tickets and clicking to proceed) if the user does not accept the required question they can not proceed.

Similar to this – http://take.ms/cbEC6

Would that work?
