Hello guys, I have a design question. I am running Elementor on my site, and no matter what I do, I can not get the design for the event and venue pages to change. I’m trying to use a custom header, footer, and overall page design, but I just can’t get it to work. I want to ditch the crappy default header and go with the overall site design, my theme allows me to disable the header and footer but it’s not working on these pages. Any way I could get some guidance on this? I can get another support token if someone is able to help me fix this. Thank you ~Chris |

September 18, 2023 at 12:36 am Did you enable this setting in your elementor? then create a single page for your event? Can you loom the process you made? thanks. |

September 21, 2023 at 10:59 am Rio, thank you for the guidance. I was able to get my header and footer formatting from Elementor on the Event pages, as long as I don’t attempt to edit the event in Elementor, it works great. I am having issues getting the venue pages to work. it doesn’t seem to matter how I apply my header and footer, it just doesn’t come through. I was curious if it’s an elementor issue. I went into the setting as you suggested and selected events and venues, however, when I go to apply the header & footer rules, I only get the option to apply it to the event pages. Do venues use something special or different than event pages? i tried to apply the format to all posts and archive pages with no luck. But thank you again for helping me get my event pages up and running again. |

I’m thinking on same process too. but this time, it is the venue checkbox. then create single page afterward. Let me know if it did work. Thanks thanks |

September 22, 2023 at 11:19 am Thanks for the quick reply sir. So I made sure to check that when i did the Event checkbox, and thought I had it selected in the Elementor setting, Venues do not show up in my how-to-apply rule list as events do… her is an image. https://thertc.org/ee/page_settings.png So for the Venues, I created a page template and published it for “All Singular,” and if I select “Theme” on the venue under Venue Attributes and Page Template, I get the theme I created however, the default header is still there in addition to my custom header but all the venue content is gone. I have toggled through every setting I could find, and it just doesn’t want to take. Also, just FYI, if I try to edit an event or venue page with Elementor, it really jacks up the page as far as layout goes. I’m assuming Elementor is injecting code that conflicts with the basic structure of EE. When it comes to the event pages, as you can see in the image link, Elementor had a dropdown for Events but not one for Venues. For Events, all I had to do was create the page template in Elemetor, apply it to all events, and leave the settings for Page Template and Event Attributes to Default, and it worked great. I still can’t use Elementor to Edit the event page, but that is ok. I’m just trying to hide the default site header and use my site’s custom header and footer. I just need to figure out the trick with Venues. I’m sure I’m just missing what type of template to create and how to apply it. Any additional help you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Chris |
