Event Times Required

Is there a way to make the event times required? At some times, we have zero (0) in all our event times, so we don’t want people to register for an event. But, if someone goes through the registration process (by filling out form or using Groupon) by filling out the form, the system will automatically register the person to the earliest time.

So, is there a way to make it so that the event time is required during the registration process?

Thanks

Mark,

Can you provide a URL to show me what you are trying to accomplish?

Thanks.

There is one time there now. But, the client at times has the time slots set to zero. There are five time slots entered in for this event, but only one right now has 5. So, the other four have zeros. But, when they’re all zeros, people are still allowed to register. Client requesting that if he has all zeros in for the event times (the ‘Choose a Time’ drop down list is empty), no one can register. Right now, even if the drop down list is empty, one can register and it defaults to the first time (8am), even though there’s a zero in the 8am time slot.

Until maybe we can have a workaround, I’m suggesting to the client that he just disable the registration form on the page, so that no one can register for the event.

Mark,

Forgive me if I am not understanding your question. But, why shouldn’t your client just change the status of the event to Closed if they do not want anyone to register for that particular event? In the Event Overview, you would change the answer to the question, “Is this an active event?” to “No”.

Hi Mark,

Sorry to butt in here, but have you got the number of attendees set to unlimited (99999)? If so the event will never close event when the number of spots per time slot disappear, and people can continue to register.

So if you have 2 time slots with 5 people per slot, the max attendee number for the event should be 10, that way only 10 people in total can register.
