I manage a non-profit site currently using the Joomla CMS. I want to move over to WordPress and the only real missing piece is an Event management plugin. We host Christian retreat weekends and the plugin needs to manage only our volunteer Prayer Vigil Registrations.

Espresso seems to handle most of what I am looking for but:
1. Can you turn off pricing features?
2. Can you modify forms?
3. How configurable is Espresso to represent volunteer signups instead of bookings?

1. Yes. You can have free events.
2. Yes. You can create custom registration forms.
3. This should be quite simple to set up for volunteer registrations.
