Event ticket gets marked as sold out after updating event

I’ve run into an issue (EE Decaf) where updating an event can cause an existing ticket option to be marked as sold out and a duplicate ticket option is created.

Here’s the process I run to reproduce this:

1. Create an event with two ticket options each with 100 tickets.
2. Register for one of the ticket options with 3 tickets. No payment is made (invoice/bank draft used).
3. Go back into the event and just hit the update button (don’t touch ticket prices).
4. Upon reload, the ticket option which I purchased is now locked and gray, and says it is sold out. A new ticket option has been created with an identical name.

This is a bug I’ve been able to reproduce reliably on a site with only EE Decaf activated and the Twenty Fourteen theme activated. Let me know if you need any more information to reproduce this.
