Hello,

I’m trying to figure out what is the best way for me to create an event that meets on multiple days but is only charged 1 fee.

I found this plugin: https://eventespresso.com/product/espresso-multiple/ but from what I read, I get the impression that this allows people to just register for a lot of events at once. I need the ability to list an event on my calendar that has more than one session, however only has a single cost for the entire program (regardless of how many sessions there are).

For example, a camp runs for 5 days from 9am-12:00pm. The cost of the ENTIRE camp, not EACH day is $100

What is the best way to achieve this?

What you can do is make an event for each day, but use the “Alternate Registration Page (optional)” option on the edit event screen of all but the first day to point registrations for any day to the first day’s registration page.

What is the best way to find out what the address for the original event is and to add it to the Alternate Registration page?

If you use the Recurring Events Manager (https://eventespresso.com/product/espresso-recurring/) all the details of each scheduled event will be the same, but the registration button will redirect to the first event so all the data for all events are stored in the same event….

Or you can “Duplicate” an event (http://www.screencast.com/t/nS9whVWr) to create new dates, and then point those subsequent dates to the original event URL. That way you don’t have to create new events and add all the data again.

Does that help?

Hello,

Thank your for your help. Will the Recurring Events Manager allow for me to only charge once for all the following recurring events?

It’s possible to do this by redirecting all the subsequent events to the first occurrence of the event (or another, “main” event, where they would actually pay), which is what Sidney was referring to.

I’m just asking what the easiest way would be for the client to figure out what the address is of the original event inorder to add it to the Alternate Registration Page. Any Ideas?

Hi Daniel,

When they are editing the original event in the event editor, there is a button that says “Short URL”. If they click that button, they can copy the URL that appears in the alert box to their clipboard and paste it into the alternate reg page field.
