Hello,

I see within EE3 that you can specify a flat rate or % tax which is titled sur-charge per event being created. But this is very limiting in the event we are collecting provincial sales tax in Canada that differs per province which customers are located. Plus, we also have worldwide registrants from other countries and USA that this would not apply to.

Is there ability like an eCommerce within EE3 to specify tax regions so that taxes get calculated properly based on the users registrant data?

Thanks for any help,

Andreo

Hey!

I am having the same issue and while searching this forum, I found this post and this code snippet to implement taxes per-customer location.

The post is quite old, maybe @Josh can confirm if the code is still valid.

I will give it a try.

This is quite important during the covid-19 pandemic, where we moved from in-person events to virtual-online events.

I suggest to upvote the feature request here
