Thanks in advance for helping me out. I am new to event espresso. I installed it on a development server originally. IT worked fine. This was about 4 weeks ago. Since then we moved to the staging site for WP-engine where my client hosts.
After doing that… i started getting a automatic update message (but it tells me I have to enter my support licence… BUT IT ALSO tells me not to do that on a development site). ALSO… the “add new event” tab disappeared from the “events page.” So i couldn’t add anything. I went ahead and downloaded the new update and installed it over FTP, and now I get a fatal error on the EVENTS page.
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Venues_Admin_Page in /nas/wp/www/staging/ironside/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/caffeinated/admin/new/venues/Venues_Admin_Page.core.php on line 1443
The other pages (registration, transactions etc…) are accessible. But not the events page… and I still can’t add anything.
This seemed to work. Thank you very much. It is up and running and the “add new event” button is back. So, it would seem that all is good. However, I did enter my support key into this site to try and update it at first. This is a development site. Can i release the key and attach it to the actual site after we go live? Do i just use the “Release Request ” Button in my account?
You can use the key on your production/live site and manually update on the development site.
