Event start time query

Hi,

I’ve 13 modules set up as events on living-yoga.ie and have 2 modules that need alternate start and end times.

Each of the modules begins at 10am and ends at 5.30pm, except for modules 6 and 8, which have two half days. These two modules have four days each, the first and last days have alternate times: the start time of 2:30pm on day 1 and the end time of 1pm on day 4. Days 2 and 3 are the normal 10am to 5.30pm.

I have found this difficult to reflect in the EE setup. The modules in questions are:

https://www.living-yoga.ie/events/the-skeletal-body-2/
https://www.living-yoga.ie/events/the-muscular-and-connective-tissue-body-2/

And they seem to have conflicting start/end times in different areas.

Can you advise on how to create specific start and end times for separate days?

Thank you in advance!

Hi there,

I’ve 13 modules set up as events on living-yoga.ie and have 2 modules that need alternate start and end times.

Ok, so in EE each module is an event, correct?

Each module can multiple dates assigned to that module and registering onto a single ticket allows access to all of those dates?

Each of the modules begins at 10am and ends at 5.30pm, except for modules 6 and 8, which have two half days. These two modules have four days each, the first and last days have alternate times: the start time of 2:30pm on day 1 and the end time of 1pm on day 4. Days 2 and 3 are the normal 10am to 5.30pm.

Looking at your events, it looks like you have a single datetime in each one, so taking your Module 8 event as an example here: https://www.living-yoga.ie/events/the-muscular-and-connective-tissue-body-2/

You have a single datetime with this date range – October 30, 2019 – November 3, 2019

Meaning that event starts on October 30th at 10am and continues through to November 3rd 5pm, rathan than separate days.

If you want separate individual ‘instances’ of that module to display as spearate dates, you’ll need to break down the datetimes into individual instances.

So in that event rather than have a single datetime as a date range like this – http://take.ms/xz5IK

You’d have 4 datetimes, like this – http://take.ms/syd6I

Each date will then display on the event page as a single date and you can alter the start/end times for any single individual date.

And they seem to have conflicting start/end times in different areas.

May I ask where the dates/times are conflicting?
