I recently setup this plugin for a client and there’s an issue with event registrations it seems. When someone checked out via PayPal, it did not charge their PayPal account. The transaction is listed on the transactions page with an “Apply Payment” button. Is there a way to set this up so that event payments are automatically charged to the person’s PayPal?
Here is the feedback from the user who purchased the event tickets:
I clicked on PayPal and chose “I wanted to pay using my PayPal account”. I was directed to PayPal. I logged into my PayPal account and paid. No fees were calculated-I am guessing you haven’t had a chance to do this.
However, I was not directed back to the D4 website.
I usually receive an email instantaneously giving me a notice and receipt. I did not receive an email so I went to my PayPal account to see if anything was charged to my account and nothing was charged.
Is there something that wasn’t configured correctly? Anything that can be done to remedy the situation would be great!
Hi,
I checked the site and it does not look like something wasn’t configured correctly. In fact, I went ahead and started a registration as a test and the correct payment amount is calculated on PayPal.com’s side. I’ll follow up with a private reply and include a screenshot of the expected ticket information & price on PayPal.com.
414 means the URL is too long. So maybe the fix in this case will be to remove all the extra nested pages so the URL will be shorter.
In other words, remove the /district-events/d4-conference-event-page/2019-d4-conference-registration-fees/d4-conference-online-registration-webpage and instead just have {your website domain}/registration-checkout.
