Does Event Espresso maintain all registration information for all events once expired? I noticed that the registrations for the majority of my previous events are no longer there.
Event Espresso doesn’t delete expired event data. Are you sure the data was deleted (like you checked in the database) or maybe you’re having trouble finding the data?
When I go to my events page, then click on registrations for a previous event, it does not display any information. There is also a 0 under approved registrations. Where else can I go to view registrations?
That’s the place to go. Are the Transactions (in Event Espresso > Transactions) also missing for the expired events? Has anyone been doing any “housekeeping” on the site’s database and if so are there any recent backups of the database that can be restored to?
Yes. The transactions are gone as well. No database housekeeping as far as I know. There are database backups but the site is updated so regularly I would have to recreate so much. Events from months ago are missing registrations. Could duplicating the event to start a new one have any effect on this?
Duplicating an event to start a new one would not have any effect on this, as long as it was done within the event editor UI and not duplicated by some other means (like direct database manipulation or another plugin). When you duplicate an event, the original event’s registrations will remain attached to the original event (and are not copied over to the new event).
