Hello,
I am a new user to Event Espresso, I would like the capability to send an email upon registration, as well as the day before an event.
Also, the 3 step process for payment, in the blue boxes that show up, it says, Please choose a payment option. Is there a way to customize this to say – Please choose a payment option(if you want to pay with cash or money order at the door, no further action is necessary)If you want to pay online, please click the paypal button below (you do not need a paypal account).
Also, is there a way to make this two or less steps to process registration?
Thank you!

Hi Shannon,

The plugin should be sending an email to the users on registration by default.

Check your Event Espresso General Settings, is the Send payment confirmation emails? marked as yes? Have you added a Primary contact email?

Also if the emails arent sending, sometimes this is due to the websites server setup.

Currently there is no automated way to send additional emails. However, by going to the Event Overview page, you can click the Email icon next to the event in question and you can bulk email all the attendees for that event, either sending a premade email (see Email Manager) or a custom one off email.

You can customise most parts of the plugin, especially the display side by using the files in event-espresso/templates. IF you copy these to the uploads/espresso/templates folder you can edit them there without having them be overwritten when you update the plugin.

The file you want is actually in event-espresso/gateways/gateway_display.php.

Currently the steps can’t be reduced by default, though it may be possible to change the code to skip the confirmation page, but that would be beyond standard support.

In regards to your comment, what would it cost to have this customization designed?

Hi Shannon,

We have added a function into the next update that will enable you to skip the confirmation page.

So it wont cost anything except waiting for it to be released 😀
