We have been using EE for some time. However, we have had developers help us in the past. I am not very knowledgeable on how everything works.
Recently we have experienced problems when people register online for any of our scheduled events.
1) We no longer receive notification that they registered.
2) They have been getting fatal error messages when they attempt to pay by credit card.
I need help in checking our settings – to ensure everything is as it should be for our events – so that notifications come through and that there are no other glitches in the registration and payment process.
I would also like to understand better whatever is found to be the problem — and perhaps where/how I can self-teach going forward?
Getting the exact messaging for the fatal error would be the fastest way to solve this issue. I’d like to temporarily turn on WP debugging so we can get that message.
Could you resend the redeem a support token form and include a temporary SFTP / FTP login? This will allow us to access your WordPress files and is available from your web host.
If that is not available, then the next best thing would be a temporary Cpanel / hosting panel login as that will have a built-in file manager that we could use to enable debugging.
