I have an event that I have had for several months and recently it stopped sending emails to both me and the registrant. I have tried adding the alternate email to no avail. I have the latest versions of WordPress and Event Espresso. The problem was present prior to my upgrading both WordPress and Event Espresso today. The event that is giving me trouble is any level on this page https://utahcprtraining.com/event-registration/?ee=3

Hi Jake,

How are you today?

Are you getting any email from your website? If you set up the plugin WP Mail SMTP with your gmail account, you can send a test email from the WP Mail SMTP settings page, so you can determine that mail is going out in general.

Also, what version of Event Espresso were you using and what version did you upgrade to (just to be sure)?

I am sorry for the late reply. I have Version 3.1.35.P of Event Espresso, Version 2.0.6.2 of Calendar, Version 1.1.5.1 of Social Media. The problem was occuring prior to my updating the plugins and I thought if I updated them it would solve the problem. I don’t know what versions I had of each of the plugins prior to updating. The weird thing is I will get emails for random registrations but most of them will not send the email. The registrants will show up in the event overview but simply not send the email.

Hi Jake,

I couldn’t connect to your site http://d.pr/i/oYcj, so the mail issue is perhaps related? Often mail failing to go out is server related, which is why Garth suggested the WP Mail SMTP plugin. There are also other services such as Mandrill and Postmarkapp that can take control of your mail for you.

I would start by checking that other areas of WordPress can send emails (a good plugin to use to test http://wordpress.org/plugins/check-email/) and if not try installing WP Mail SMTP to see if it helps.

The my SSL is down since Saturday due to a change in my hosting (GoDaddy has a really good sale on the deluxe hosting package). My SSL should be working by the latest noon today (mtn time). I installed the check email plugin and it sent emails just fine. I have now installed the WP Mail SMTP plugin and I will let you know if that works when my site is back up.

OK, thanks for the update, please keep me informed. Please note that we do not recommend GoDaddy as a host – https://eventespresso.com/requirements/
