Event Registration End Date Automatically Changed

I have the latest version of event espresso as well as the latest version of wordpress. All of my events registration end dates have been pushed a day earlier. Registration for events used to end on the day of the event. Now they end a day early.

Hello Mark,

Is this for the first aid site? If so you are running an older version of Event Espresso.

That aside, I don’t believe we have changed anything in respect to that. I checked on an older version of EE (3.1.27) and registration ends on the last registration date, so unless that coincides with the event start date the registration will end.

Hi Dean, Thanks to the response. I have three first aid sites. One with an older version of event espresso (updating shortly) and it has no problems. I have one first aid site which is running the latest version and it seems like all the recurring events that occur after March 10 close a day earlier and go back to “normal” during daylight savings in November. Could it be an issue with the hour change. If you want access to the site to see for yourself I can send you access to your email.

Mark.

In the list of recurring events all course dates end on the course day. However, starting March 10th, all of a sudden course registration ends the day before. It stays this way until early November where course registration ends on the course date (as it was prior to March). Any solution would be great. This issue is causing our secretary some grief and we have to manually change the end date of courses for her when someone requests a registration for the following day.

It does sound like it’s an issue with the Daylight Savings Time. Do you have registration and event start and end times set? I wonder if you set the registration end time to something like 10pm if it will stop it from shifting the date around DST.

Hi Sidney,

The registration end time is typically around 9:00 am (around the start of our classes).

Mark.

I’ve tried several different ways of replicating the problem, and wasn’t able to see it. Was your event data entered in a previous version of EE? Are you able to see the problem when you enter a new series of recurring events?
