Hello!

Awesome app you have, I want to buy it but really need some clarifications. Basically, I have a client who is organizing a trade show (Exhibition) and wants an online ticketing system integrated with Mailchimp – which I understand EE is. What I need to know is if it is possible for issuing the ticket(QR coded one for on-site scanning) to visitors with JUST registration? The trade show is free to attend.

Can we put our own brand on the ticket?

Thanks,
Saad Wadood

Hi Saad,

Thank you for contacting us! We appreciate your interest in Event Espresso.

When you say “JUST registration” are you referring to users registered on your site? Or are you meaning users who have registered for the event?

With EE3 and the WP User Integration add-on, that is included in the Business and Developer license packages, or can be purchased separately with the Personal license package, you can require users to be logged into the site in order to register and receive tickets.

Does this help?

Hi Jonathan,

This helps but doesn’t answer my question. What I would like to know is if EE3 works without any payment for tickets by interested visitors. They simply sign-up with basic info and then receive the tickets by email.

For Example: I purchase and install the EE3 plugin on my WordPress website (business & developer license with the WP user integration add-on, Ticketing add-on and Mailchimp add-on). And I create an event and set the price as “free”.

Now an customer comes to my website and registers for the event (By filling up a form with basic info) without sharing any payment details or making any payment (sort of like making a booking). He receiving the QR code ticket for for the event by email.

So, does the above scenario work with EE3 + WP user integration add-on + Ticketing add-on + Mailchimp add-on?

Apologies for these lengthy questions. Look forward to your reply. Thanks!

Hi,

Yes. If the event is free then they will still get the registration email and access to a ticket if it is set up.
