I’m only very new at WordPress but I am having heaps of trouble setting up the registration and listing pages. When I set up the registration page, it does not include the personal information questions. I would like it to be on the left side followed by the address and other information on the right hand side. I am also wanting to set up the event listing has the description and small pic, followed by the date/start time/finish time and price across the page on the one line. Can anyone tell me if this is possible and how I could achieve that? |
Re: Personal Information questions — the only reason these would be missing is if you had a bad install of the plugin and some database tables did not get created or if you manually removed those questions/question group either from the back end (which isn’t possible in current versions of Event Espresso) or via the database. The Personal Information questions (name and email) are required of every event, including free events. If you are not getting those (and you don’t have Display Registration Form set to No) then something is broken. Re: formatting — this can be done with CSS and/or theme/template customization. However, for what you are describing there is no built-in solution. We don’t have an editable, widgetized registration form — we have templates that can be modified and changed according to your site/theme. |

so fot the personal information questions should ?I re-install the main event espresso plug-in? |
If your database is borked, I would delete the Event Espresso db tables and do a fresh install. |

how do I get to the file you have screenshot? |
Your host should have some way to access the database (usually via phpMyAdmin which is being used in the screenshot). |

Rather than using my host, I was going to deactivate event espresso and try to reload it again to see if it would work properly. Would that work or damage what work I have already done? |
That would do nothing if the problem is in the database. |

To clarify, you don’t need to ask your host to do this. You need to log into your cPanel or administrative panel on your webhost and find where you can modify/edit the database (usually via phpMyAdmin). |

Thank you Chris. This has now been resolved |

I had the same issue. Some strange database issues making Event Espresso act strangely. No confirmation email, no personal information fields, permission issues. I accessed PHPmyAdmin using the plugin “Portable phpMyAdmin” which lets you change the SQL tables inside WordPress with no set up. Deleted the wp_events rows and reinstalled. Hope this helps people out there. |
