Hi,

I am about to start the development of a website that needs to be able to:
– manage event registrations (eventespresso)
– sell products – mainly books (planning to use cart66 or similar)

Will my customers be able to add subscription to event AND books to one common shopping cart and proceed to payment only once or will they be obliged to buy subscription to event and books separately? Is there a built in option in eventespresso to do this or a way to work that around?

Thanks for your support.

Antoine

Hello Antoine,

Cart66 and Event Espresso would have to work separately.

Event Espresso is not designed to add items/products to an event registration out of the box. Currently the workaround for this is to create an event for the additional items you would like to be included and use the Multi Event Registration add-on to add an add-to-cart link (https://eventespresso.com/wiki/multiple-events-registration-use-add-to-cart-link-instead-of-default-registration-form/) for those additional items.

An example of this is available here: http://eetesting.info/3.1.josh/?page_id=4&regevent_action=register&event_id=1191

After you’ve added the other item(s)/donation as an event this is how you’ll add the items to the description of your main event and add these as additional option:

[ESPRESSO_CART_LINK event_id="1191" anchor="Register for This Event"]
[ESPRESSO_CART_LINK event_id="1189" anchor="Add a T-shirt"]
[ESPRESSO_CART_LINK event_id="1190" anchor="Add a Sticker"]
