I have enabled the custom post types features under Event Template Setting, but i’m unable to make it work as I had hoped/expected.

I wanted http://finkommunikation.dk/events/ to show a list of events the same way as http://finkommunikation.dk/event-registration, but I get 404 error.

And I wanted http://finkommunikation.dk/events/test-begivenhed-nr-5/ to contain the registration formulae the same way as http://finkommunikation.dk/event-registration/?ee=3

I want to restrict the access to some of event post by using Justin Tadlock members, and I want to show a list of attendees on the custom event post.

Best regards

So, do you have a page at that address? That uses the page-event_list.php template file (or modified template file) that is included in the post-type-samples directory? You need an archive page to display the event posts, it doesn’t look like you have one set up, or at least, not at that address.

And I wanted http://finkommunikation.dk/events/test-begivenhed-nr-5/ to contain the registration formulae the same way as http://finkommunikation.dk/event-registration/?ee=3

Again, it doesn’t look like you are using the single-espresso_event.php template file (or a customized single-espresso_event.php template) from the post-type-samples directory.

Custom post types are not something you can just turn on and expect to work. There is more information on post types (including custom post types) on the WP Codex as well as some links at the bottom about how to implement custom post types. We’ve provided template files for people to use, but they may need to be modified to fit with your theme and/or the design of your site.
