Event Payment Details

I need to edit the emails that go out when people register for an event. Can someone walk me through that? All info on forums is outdated.

Hi,

You go to Event Espresso > Messages > Default Message Templates, then click the to edit the “Payment” message type templates. Then you click on the Help tab to get further instructions. The message type you’ll likely want to edit is the “Registration Approved” message type.

Hi,

Thanks for the info. So I did that, edited the email and the email i get when I register and pay is nothing like the one I edited.

Hi,

Did you edit the “Admin” context, or did you edit the “Registrant” context or another context?

In default message templates, under message types I clicked on edit. Is there another way to do it?

Clicking ‘Edit’ will open the first ‘context’ on the template, that’s often the Event Admin context likely which means your editing the message sent to the admin and then checking the email sent to the registrant.

However, the fact that you have just an ‘Edit’ link means your on an older version of Event Espresso as we’ve changed it so that you need to select a specific context to edit.

Looking at your site it looks like you are on 4.9.65.p, is there something preventing you from updating to the latest version of EE?
