Hello,

I have created an event page using event espresso 4 and had the layout the way I wanted it. With the ticket choice table displayed at the bottom of the event page. I highly preferred this layout.

Is it at all possible to move the price tables below the content for the page? I had it set that way but then performed an updated, when I viewed the page it displayed with the ticket slector at the top which I really don’t care for.

The event page can be seen here.

Any insight would be appreciated.

I should also note that I have WordPress 3.9.2 installed, and the latest version of EE4

Also it appears it has done it elsewhere too, the view details button has also been moved.

Its as iff the calls to elements got put in backwards when the plugin was updated.

Hi,

You can reverse the layout with this:

It can be added to your child theme’s functions.php or in a site specific plugin.

Thank you Lorenzo,

This does appear to work on the event page but sadly is breaks my home page for some reason. Is there a way I can just rearrange the calls in the template itself? I’m just not sure which file to edit. I tried swapping event tickets and putting it under event details in one of the template files but that didn’t seem to fix it.

I was able to fix this by including this code in the header of a new header template and assigned it to the event espresso pages. Its a bit hacky but I guess it will have to work for now. I wish that ina future update the order would be put back to the way it was in 4.2 as it makes much more sense, or at least an easy way to arrange the different modules on the page.

Hi, this is more for feedback but would a button/shortcode that takes you directly to the ticket selector be helpful?

Hi Edward,

The code in a gist that Lorenzo linked to was something that I threw together as a proof of concept, but I had not tested yet. Sorry for the trouble. The gist has been updated and includes the proper checks so it will not break your home page:

Hello again Edward,

As of Event Espresso 4.8.21, there is a custom display re-order option available in the WordPress dashboard.

Backup your WordPress and update your software

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-back-up-your-site/

You can see the change log for Event Espresso 4 here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-changelog/

Remove existing filters for adjusting the order

If you have used some of the suggested filters to adjust the order of your event elements, then you’ll want to first remove those from your website and they may have been added to your child theme’s functions.php file or a site specific plugin.

Set a custom order through the Templates screen

Afterwards, go to your WP dashboard (WP-admin) –> Event Espresso –> Events –> Templates. The Use Custom Display Order options in the Templates screen can be used to reorder the events elements on the single event page as well as the events listing page.

Again, be sure that any of the filters for adjusting the order have been removed from your site specific plugin or your child theme’s functions.php file before turning on the template reorder option. Otherwise, you may see duplicate content.

Thanks

Lorenzo
