Hello,

I would like to ask if is it possible to have an event but managed by one person only or depending on user role. Is there any addons applicable for that?

Thank you.

Hi Joy,

Are you using EE3 or EE4?

If EE4 there are capabilities throughout that allow you to restrict access to areas based on the capabilities the user has (you can setup custom roles or assign a specific user capabilities) which allows you to set this up.

I’ve created a plugin that includes 2 users roles here – http://take.ms/WcoqG

The Events Manager role has the same access to EE as an administorator, however they do not have access to any other section of WordPress, only Event Espresso. This role can manage other users events.

The Events Organizer role has capabilites that only allow them to view their own Events and sounds like what you are looking for.

You’ll need to install and activate that plugin at least once (once activated you can then de-activate and remove as it saves to the database) then assign the Events Organizer role to the user you wish to view only their events.

Hello Sir,

I’m currently using EE3.

Thank you.

Hello,

I believe you are asking if it is possible to create a restricted role that can manage events but not access other areas of your WP dashboard.

If so, then take a look at this add-on:
