Hello,
What makes one event to display before another in the calendar when they’re both on the same date?

I’d like to show up the earliest event first (the one that starts at 18h).
It does work correctly at other dates (but then there’s a 2 day event here, this may cause the different behavior).

ok, thank, helpful to know Lorenzo.
I would like it to order on start hour. I feel this makes more sense, especially with events who follow on each other. Is this possible to make happen for me?

Hi,
My earlier test was for three events that have the same start and event times.
If the events have different start times, then it should order by the event start time:

What happens if you re-save one of the events?

It doesn’t change. Maybe it’s using the event id as a parameter for sorting?

Hi Gijsbert,
The query for the events groups the events by ID, and sorts by start_date.
You are correct in that an event that splits across multiple days is shown first regardless of the start dates, currently I am unsure if this is due to the event themselves or how full calendar (which the Espresso Calendar is based on) sorts/displays the multiple day events.
I can’t find a quick fix for this currently, but I have created a ticket to investigate this further and see what we can do.
