Event Open Graph Image Tag

Hello,

I’ve been playing around trying to get this to work for a while, but haven’t been able to do so yet.

What we would need is to be able to share our EE4 events on Facebook directly from the event details page (or, if it were possibly, directly from the Event List page).

I haven’t been able to find a way to set the og:image meta tag to the Event thumbnail.

Hi Akseli,

You can install this plugin and it will add the relevant open graph tags, including og:image, automatically:

Thank you, worked wonderfully.

I would also recommend that anyone running into this same issue install:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/facebook-open-graph-update/

This will force Open Graph to rescrape your events by simply opening them and clicking on Update once. If not, it seems like the image isn’t always picked up.
