If I install and populate the People module and assign them to events, will the assigned faculty/staff person receive a copy of the registrations for their event? I need a way for this to happen.

I also need to add a blind CC to all event registrations with a ticket cost so that our business office can reconcile the charges. What would the simplest way to handle that be?

Hi there,

No, the people add-on is used to show people are assigned to an event, for example speakers, those people then have a sort of ‘profile page’ which gives some details on that person an lists the events they are assigned to, it’s a not a ‘staff manager’ type add-on.

In order for people to receive the registration emails for ‘their’ event, they would need to be set as the event author. The registration emails should then go to them, for example, the registration approved message has the EVENT_AUTHOR_EMAIL shortcode in the To field – http://take.ms/0sQUs

That parses to the email address of the user account assigned as the author.

I also need to add a blind CC to all event registrations with a ticket cost so that our business office can reconcile the charges. What would the simplest way to handle that be?

In the same screenshot above you’ll see we have a ‘CC’ field which you can use for this.

Go to Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default message template -> Registration Approved -> Event admin.

You can add any details you need to the message template and add the CC email address to that template.

Just to note, ‘bumping’ your threads will usually have the opposite effect than intended as we try to reply to threads based on their last reply date.
