Event Mobile App

In the documentation

“No route was found matching the URL and request method” – this means you do not have Event Espresso activated or you do not have the minimum version of Event Espresso and/or WordPress installed. You will need Event Espresso version 4.8.41+ and WordPress 4.5+ to connect your mobile device to your website.

I get “No route was found matching the URL and request method” despite:

  • Activated EE4.8.42
  • WP4.5.1

I am also running Buddypress. I tried the mobile app on sub sites and the main site. I get the same “No route was found matching the URL and request method” error.

How do I troubleshoot this?

Hi there,

May I ask which version of the App you have installed?

I am also using v1.0 of the EE4 mobile app.

I tried WordPress > Settings > Permalinks and without changing anything pressed the save button.

No change. I still get

“No route was found matching the URL and request method”

BTW instead of Buddypress I meant, I have WPMU on.

Also, FYI I have Event Espresso – Ticketing (EE 4+) 1.0.4 installed

@raffy, Can you post a link from your site that displays the archive of your site’s events?

There is only one event set up to test the app that is active. I don’t usually archive events.

http://www.incognitus.ph/greenap/ee-event/flat-rate-parking/

The site is a subsite on an MU set up.

Registration and the event are ongoing.

Alternately, you can tell me what to set up so we can test the app.

Hi Raffy,

Can you contact your host to see if they can increase the limit for max_allowed_packet?

https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.5/en/server-system-variables.html#sysvar_max_allowed_packet

I was able to change max_allowed_packet to 16M.

It works now.

Thanks, Josh.

Hi Raffy,

We’ve made some changes in the latest release to improve compatibility across different hosting platforms. Could you confirm that this also works in the latest release of Event Espresso 4?

If you do not see an update notice, then you can go to Event Espresso –> General Settings and save changes.

That will “force” a check for updated software.

Upgraded to Event Espresso – 4.8.43.p Version 4.5.2

Made trial registrations.
Logged in and out of the mobile app.
Scanned and checked in the trial registrations.

I confirm Mobile App EE4 v1.0 works with Event Espresso – 4.8.43.p Version 4.5.2
